Dr Rowan Molnar – An Australian Medical Expert and Author

Dr Rowan Molnar is a medical professional who has worked for many Australian medical facilities and hospitals. He started his professional journey as an intern in the medical industry at St. Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. He worked dedicatedly and fulfilled all of his responsibilities to the best of his abilities, and as a result, earned a promotion to Resident Medical Officer and Anaesthetic Registrar. He further worked for the Australian Government and he became a part of their Surgical Support Team providing anaesthetic, analgesia and related services to patients of the Australian Federal Police, outpatient consultations, pre-operative assessments, consultations, and participated in an after-hours on-call roster for services to AFP patients.

Dr Rowan Molnar has worked with St. Vincent’s Simulation Centre as the Medical Education Director (Anaesthesia). At this centre, he introduced simulation as educational modality. In addition, he also developed and authored a policy and procedures manual, and organised regular participation of instructors in the delivery of courses at external institutions.

Dr Rowan Molnar has served the position of Teacher of Simulation in a wide range of esteemed positions. He was involved in the management of anaesthesia crises course – St. Vincent’s Education Centre, Anaesthesia Crisis Resource Management Course – at St. Vincent’s Hospital where all consultants and trainees in anaesthesia are given training every second week. In addition, he also served as ANZCA Simulation Course Instructor and Convenor – Annual Scientific Meeting 2007 Melbourne, and ANZCA Simulation Course Instructor and Convenor – Annual Scientific Meeting 2011 Hong Kong.

Dr Rowan Molnar is also an published author who has numerous publications in international medical journals. Recently, he published a book on healthcare entitled, “Creative Disruption in Medicine & Healthcare.” The book covers state-of-the-art disruptive technologies in medicine, and provides detailed information about healthcare. The main aim of this book is to help individuals, healthcare experts, physicians, medical groups, and associations gain knowledge of different medical practices and approaches. Clayton Christensen, a Harvard Business Professor, is the source of inspiration behind writing this book. Dr. Rowan attended this professor’s lectures regarding disruptive technology theory in the USA.
