Dr Rowan Rustem Molnar is an Australian medical professional with rich
experience in anaesthesia, clinical surgery, orthopaedic surgery,
tumour, plastic, and reconstructive surgery, and related areas.
Presently, he is the Head of Discipline, Anaesthesia at the University
of Tasmania, Staff Specialist Anaesthetist at Launceston General
Hospital, and ECronicon Anaesthesia Editorial Panel Member at ECronicon.
Dr Rowan Rustem Molnar has worked for many medical facilities
and hospitals in Australia, and abroad as well. He started his
professional career as an intern at St. Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne
followed by an appointment as a Junior Resident Medical Officer and
Anaesthetic Registrar at the same hospital. From November 2013 to July
2014, he worked with the Australian Government as a part of Surgical
Support Team. He fulfilled an array of responsibilities such as
providing anaesthetic, analgesia and related services to the patients of
the Australian Federal Police, providing outpatient consultations,
pre-operative assessments, consultations, and participating in an
after-hours on-call roster for services to the AFP patients.
Additionally, he also participated in work environment supporting
quality Human Resource Management and the Performance Appraisal &
Development process.
While working with St. Vincent’s Simulation Centre as the Medical Education Director (Anaesthesia), Dr. Rowan introduced simulation as educational modality, developed and authored a policy and procedures manual, and organised regular participation of instructors in delivery of courses at external institutions.
